新冠状病毒的疫情对整个社会造成了许多影响，尤其是社区当中的弱势群体，他们所感到的焦虑更为严重。在这段时期内，贫困的低收入家庭因为收入减少或失去生计而苦不堪言。他们只有微薄的储蓄甚至是沒储蓄。这很可能导致他们承受极大的压力，有者因此而负债累累。
卫理福利服务计划筹集$135万，为一千户低收入家庭提供一年的财务援助。这笔基金将提供他们基本的需求，同时让他们能妥善预备足够的资源去应对冠状病毒疫情对他们日常生活所造成的直接影响。
卫理福利服务仅处理免税捐款。资金将完全100％直接用于援助家庭，不分种族或宗教。

In today’s climate of challenges and fear, let us not forget what God has intend for us. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many around us are suffering, let us look out for not only our members but also our neighbors at large.
While some of our MCS135 celebration have been put on hold, we are still trying to raise funds and reach out to the needy families around us.
